Miu Miu Jazz Club Tokyo 2026

Miu Miu presents Miu Miu Jazz Club in Tokyo on May 13, 2026, celebrating the reopening of the Ginza flagship. Highlighting the brand’s enduring relationship with Japan and the world of music, the event is conceived as a contemporary salon - a space dedicated to listening and musical experimentation - inspired by Japanese jazz and kissaten sensibilities and offering a curated program of performances.

To mark the occasion, the reimagined Ginza flagship - set across three floors and presenting a new retail concept - hosts an exclusive preview of the 2026 Miu Miu Upcycled collection, ahead of its official campaign launch on May 18th, 2026. The interior is defined by its distinctive pale blue palette and accented with solid oak, resulting in a timeless and warm space.

For one night only, the event begins with a cocktail reception at the renewed store, before unfolding across Dance Hall Shinseiki (ダンスホール新世紀) and Tokyo Kinema Club (東京キネマ倶楽部), where an evening of music, creativity, and identity meet in the Miu Miu universe.
The Miu Miu Jazz Club draws on the heritage of jazz in Japan and the vital role women played in expanding and redefining how it could be heard, interpreted, and performed. Since the 1950s the genre developed its own identity through the blending of its organic structure, Japanese sensibility, local traditions, and a distinctive culture of attentive listening. Over time, jazz in Japan became part of the atmosphere of modern urban life. Within this world, women were not only performers, but also innovators and creative forces. The Miu Miu Jazz Club returns to this legacy through a perspective that feels contemporary, intimate, and alive.

This approach reflects Miu Miu’s ongoing commitment to highlighting talent and creative expression. Within the program, jazz transcends its role as a musical genre to become a metaphor for spontaneity, individuality, and self-definition. Framed by the Japanese concepts of ma (間) and shizen (自然), Miu Miu Jazz Club explores the tension, pause, and natural emergence of jazz, utilizing these expressive possibilities to amplify women’s artistic presence. By bringing past and present into conversation, the event honors earlier voices while opening space for new ones to emerge. At Dance Hall Shinseiki - with its preserved Showa-era ballroom – the immediacy and physicality of jazz are evoked with performances by acclaimed Japanese artists: Grammy-winning pianist and composer Hiromi; multi-instrumentalist Tokyo-based Lily; trumpeter, singer-songwriter, and producer Reiya Terakubo. At the storied Tokyo Kinema Club, the history of cabaret and early film culture is referenced to create a more immersive setting concluding with an afterparty and international headline performance.

Through this celebration of music, culture, and creative exchange, the Miu Miu Jazz Club stands as a tribute to the brand’s profound connection with Japan and its commitment to fostering meaningful cultural discourse.
